STEM Resources for Students, Parents & Teachers

Many parents are frustrated with Common Core. But before jumping on the bandwagon to eliminate common core, please read this article and blog w.r.t the Common Core State Standards in Mathematics. The standards themselves are not the problem. The issue lies in their implementation.

Having said that, one major reason for the frustration among parents in North Carolina is that the school systems for the most part have not yet adopted any textbooks. This, together with the state budget cuts, has forced teachers to pick and choose from a smorgasbord of online worksheets. This puts parents at a disadvantage when it comes to helping their students with school work.

Through this resources page, we aim to provide a listing of good-quality websites that students, parents and teachers will find useful. This page aims to serve as your one-stop site for all your STEM educational information and resources. This site is a work in progress – so be sure to check back frequently. More importantly, if you know of any interesting educational site that is not listed here, do drop us a note – we will post it here with due credit.
